Swan Creek Wedding in Sparta, MO
How Sheena Met Andrew
We met at Audi's Pizza Bar and Grill in Hollister, MO. I was with my parents and Andrew asked my dad if he could dance with me. My dad told him to ask me. He asked me and I told him NO!!
My mother insisted and forced me too! We slow danced to a Vince Gill country song.
I then sat back down with my parents. I left about 15 min later. As I was opening my parents’ car door to get in, Andrew chased me out the door pleading for me not to leave.
After much reluctance, he begged me for my phone number and my mom gave it to him!!
So in essence, we met with a dance!
How did he propose to you?
Andrew proposed to me at Chateau on the Lake in the restaurant seated by a gorgeous Table Rock lake view!!
He actually surprised me and said we were doing a date-night.
He drove us to the wax museum and had us walk up the strip! To my dismay, we went to the helicopter tour building! We boarded the helicopter and flew over our city of Branson!!
The helicopter dropped down and landed at the Chateau where we had an elegant dinner.
I kept telling him this is the best date ever!!
After dinner, in a restaurant full of people, he got down on his knees and asked me to marry him! I said Yes of course!! We laughed and enjoyed the evening and then boarded the helicopter and we were flown back into the City!! Truly a night to remember!!
The Wedding Day
Our wedding was a small intimate setting outside a quaint chapel along the beautiful Swan Creek! (Swan Creek Chapel) It was an evening wedding on a hot Autumn day!! Colors of fall were vibrant in the trees and flowers!! White chairs were perfectly lined with the foot bridge over the creek making it a picturesque ora. Our reception was indoors with BBQ catering! It was elegantly lit with white lights!! Swan Creek Chapel was secluded and wooded with a charming rural feel!
We stayed at a farm house located on the property. The property where the wedding was held was actually an old Missouri town!!
We then awoke to fly to the Riviera Maya for our honeymoon!!
We still dance! It's just like the country song, "when you get the chance to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance!!"
